Landis Family Visits

Since Joshua's birth in August, Matt's family has been able to come for several visits, it was so nice having help and then getting to visit on different occassions.

 Grammy and Tyler holding Joshua- October
 Jarod and Kaitlyn playing together {nicely even!}
 These two are something!  Tyler and Kaitlyn rocking on the chair together.
 Kaitlyn was all over him, she loves he cousins!!
 Grammy and Pop Pop with Joshua- 2 months old
 Tyler, Daddy, Zachy, Joshua
{Zachy, again- the proud cousin- he just loves Kaitlyn and Joshua}
 Fun in the tub!

This pix was taken at the EMU Alumni baseball game.

I have to admit, it was so nice having all of his family come down to visit so much after Joshua was born, and we didn't feel the need to travel so much! What a blessing!  I only wish I had more pictures of when Marci and Ashley were here and Lou and Marla and their kids.  I think I was a little busy adjusting to the whole idea of parenting 2 children! :) .... there's always next time....

Quick visit with Uncle Mitch

My brother lives on The Outer Banks- Kill Devil Hills, so we don't see him very often.  He works for himself, so travelling on his part gets tight- as he needs to work when there is work! :) But this past weekend we got to have a quick visit with him and catch up on life a bit.  He finally got to meet his new nephew.

Joshua- 3 months and Life!

Wow, we've already passed the 3 month mark!  Joshua is just growing and growing, quickly it seems to me.  His hair is taking on more of a red tint... we'll just have to wait and see how all that turns out.  He seems to be a little more laid back than his sister, but that too will have to develop over time, but I would be OK with that!

 This is what happens when he tell Kaitlyn to SMILE for the camera.
She is so enthusiastic and puts her all into everything, can't you tell?
 One Sunday morning, before Church- we were all actually dressed {nicely} and had a few minutes to spare before heading out the door, it seemed  like a good idea to try and take a couple of pictures!  You figure if you take like 20, you should have at least ONE that is good?!
Well... not so sure about that, but here they are, for what they are.

 Kaitlyn has loved helping give him baths, she continues to love him and kiss him and hold him- as long as she doesn't squeeze him {too hard} then I suppose we're in good shape!

 A Saturday afternoon spent at Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton- the last day the train was running for the season!  Kaitlyn wasn't sure what to think of it at first, but by about round 3 she started enjoying it!  And Joshua was just along for the ride!

 Kaitlyn and her Rogie making the train ride; when she got off the train, she got to blow the horn! Boy that was special stuff.
 Next it was onto feeding the ducks at the pond

 And lastly, up to the playground to do some swings and slides!  We had a great afternoon!!
I love weekends where we get some good outdoor family time, they make such special memories.

Mimi Camp October 2010

This summer my mom decided she wanted to take each of her granddaughters and do a 3day camp with each of them, doing things that each of them would enjoy!
Kaitlyn went in October for 3 days.  She got to go to the Children's Museum in Lynchburg, the Safari Park in Lexington, she did fingerpaints and traced her body to color, and good hang-out time with her Mimi.
What a special, treasured time to be able to spend these days with her Mimi, and her Mimi with Kaitlyn.  We look forward to many more Mimi camps!

 Tracing Kaitlyn's body on this large piece of paper so that she can color herself!

 Watching "her movie" on the computer, one of her favorite passtimes.
 The "finished" product of Kailtyn
First attempts at fingerpainting.  Went fairly well, from what I hear- except she didn't like to get her hands dirty! ha
 Kaitlyn's special seat at mimi's house- eating her pancakes for breakfast
 The Safari Park in Lexington; her cousin Hannah is holding her trying to get her to feed the animals.

 Petty a baby kangaroo

The Farm magnets/ stickers- she can move all around and make her farm the way she wants.
